DIY RIbbon Holder/Storage

Okay so I have been desperately needing a place to store my ribbon and is also functional.  HOWEVER I hate to spend tons of money on things that I could possibly create myself....I'm sure most crafters would agree with me.  So anyway....one day while I was in Michaels I decided to by a rectangular piece of wood.  It was like $1.29 and I used my 40% off coupon.  I also needed dowel rods but luckily I keep them on hand at home.  Did you know that a pack of dowel rods at Michaels is like $3/4 bucks??  You can get a pack of them at Walmart for $1....and it's a bigger quantity than the pack at Michaels.  Anyway.....that was just a FYI!  So I finally put my little idea together!!

I drilled three holes in the wood...which is where the dowel rods will go.
My original plans.....paint it pink & glitter mod podge.
But then I wanted to do the dowels a different color and I wanted to use my shimmer mod podge bc I never use it.

Here is the finished product.
I love the way it turned out!!!  Now I have to make about four more....because I so much more ribbon.

Well....thats my DIY ribbon holder!!

Until next time...

Bee Card

So I desperately want to become a card maker!!!  However...to become a card maker....I have to actually make cards!!  Lol I never make cards!  The couple that I did the bee theme baby shower decor for gave birth to their little baby girl recently.  So I thought to myself "great time to make a card"!!  I gathered everything I thought I'd need and I went to work.  This is what I came up with...

I think I did a good job and had a fun time putting it together!  I must admit I was a little nervous to give it to the couple bc it was my first card.  Lol but she absolutely loved it!!  So a pat on the back for me.  So now I am in the process of making a birthday card for a little guy that's in the hospital with a terminal illness!!  I will post pics once I am done.

Until next time...

Bee Theme Baby Shower

I really enjoyed putting together this baby shower decor!!  The mom to be announced the sex of the baby at the shower.  So I tried to keep it very neutral....didn't want it to be too girly or too boyish!

Candy Shop Theme Birthday Party

So my daughter turned the BIG 7!!!  We love doing parties, coming up with ideas, and having all of her friends over for a grand ole' time.  This year we went with a candy shop theme.  I am not big on letting my kids indulge in a lot of sweets....so this was going to be something fab for them.  I told them that they could have as much candy as their little hearts desired!  The party was super budget friendly....most of everything was in my craftroom.  Okay....here are the pics

This was her invitation.  Very simple yet theme related!  They were loved by her guests and whats even better everything I needed for the invite was in my craftroom.  Not a single dime was spent to make these.
